Subscription Update Obituary

Robert D. Woodland, 79, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024.

Born and raised in Worcester to George and Mary Woodland, Robert was a cherished member of the community. He was a devoted member of the Chaffin Congregational Church in Holden, where he built lasting friendships and contributed to the spiritual life of the congregation. As an esteemed member of the Morning Star Masonic Lodge of Worcester, Robert was known for his dedication and service.

Robert had a great fondness for playing cards and was known for his easygoing nature. His quirky sense of humor and infectious smile could light up any room, capturing the attention and hearts of those around him. He loved bringing joy and laughter to friends and family with his witty remarks and cheerful demeanor.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Patricia A. Woodland, Robert’s memory will be cherished by his surviving niece, Cathy Woodland, and his nephew, Keith G. Woodland and his brother, Ralph G. Woodland. Robert’s legacy of warmth and joy will live on through the many lives he has touched.

His burial will be held on May 30, 2024, at 9:00 AM in the Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton, where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved Patricia.
