Subscription Update Obituary

     R. Bruce Person, 80, of Worcester passed away on Nov. 19th at home. He was born in Worcester, the son of George and Gertrude (Lund) Person. He is survived by his wife of 54 yrs. Nancy (Bloom) Person, son Jeff and his spouse Elizabeth, daughter Melissa and her spouse Barbara May, two grand-daughters, six great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Bruce was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church having sung in its choir and Schola Cantorum, and served as a Council member, Church Archivist, and Usher.

He was an Army veteran and worked for Norton Company, Simplex Time Recorder, and U.S. Small Business Administration. After retiring in 2000, he & Nancy began traveling throughout the US and Canada and toured Sweden, Finland, Norway, Estonia, & Russia,

Bruce was a member of Greendale Retired Men’s Club and an avid collector of coins and stamps, He loved classical and sacred music.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church’s Music Fund or the American Cancer Society. Friends and relatives are invited to a 10 am burial service at Worcester County Memorial Park (Paxton), followed by an 11 am Memorial service at Trinity Lutheran Church 73 Lancaster St. Worcester and/or a reception following at noon on Saturday, November 25, 2017.
