Subscription Update Obituary

     Richard N. “Rick” Carlson, 65, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in Wingate at Worcester following a short illness. He leaves a sister and brother-in-law Elaine and Paul Bendeck of FL; 3 nieces Karin, and Angela Bendeck and Sharin Cutuli and her husband Angelo.

Rick was born in Worcester, son of the late Nils and Florence (Boo) Carlson. He graduated from West Boylston High School and attended art school in Boston. He worked in the art department at WGBH (channel 2) in Boston for several years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Holden and enjoyed cooking, camping, and canoeing.

A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 10-11 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rick’s name may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
