Subscription Update Obituary

   Richard H. Creamer, 84, of Leicester passed away January 18, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Beverly (Jones) Creamer; and his children, David, Richard and wife Sandra; and daughter, Jennifer Grammel. He also leaves four grandchildren, Kelly & Madison Creamer, Kim Leesha and Nicholas Creamer. Richard was born in Sunapee, NH on September 24, 1924 as the third oldest of eleven children but lived the majority of his life in the family’s home in Leicester, MA.

He was an auto mechanic for over 40 years working at Jones Garage and J & D Truck. He was also a decorated WWII Army veteran who served in the 106th Infantry and survived being a prisoner of war as a result of being captured during the Battle of the Bulge.

The Creamer family would like to thank the staff at Millbury Healthcare who cared for Richard through his final struggles with Alzheimers.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours January 20, 5-7 P.M at Caswell-King Funeral Home, 474 Grove St., Worcester, MA. Funeral services will be held January 21, at 11:00 A.M. at Caswell-King with burial following at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472 (www.alz.org.) or the Massachusetts Veteran’s Shelter, 69 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605.
