     Richard F. Puzo, 47, a lifelong Shrewsbury resident passed away with family gathered at his side, Thursday, February 4, 2016 joining in heaven his mother Kathleen who passed away December 3rd and his father Richard Puzo in 2014

Richard is survived by his wife of 12 years, Carol A. (Carr) Puzo; a daughter, Mandy Mikalunas of Northboro; three sons, George Hughes in Florida, Joshua Hughes of Auburn and Jeremy Hughes of Worcester; four siblings, Wilfred Lamothe and his wife Cathy, of Worcester, Beverly Battista and her husband Barry of Agawam, June Battista of Worcester, Lori Zinkevich and her husband Mark of Cherry Valley; five grandchildren, Desiree, Aiden, Nevaeh, Jaxtin and Jayden; Nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and extended family members. He was born in Worcester, his parents were the late Richard M. and Kathleen (Rourke) Puzo. He graduated from Shrewsbury High School.

Richard Puzo worked as a landscaper, and for his cousin at Spencer Painting. He was a member of St. Stephen’s Church. Richard was a gentle soul who loved his family along with music, as he was an expert drummer, cooking, gardening, fishing, playing darts, the Red Sox and the Patriots. He will be remember for his gentleness and his keen sense of humor. Richie always had a smile on his face and kind word for all.

Calling hours for Mr. Puzo, will be held Monday, February 8th from 9:30am to 11:00 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. followed by a procession to St. Stephen’s church, 357 Grafton St where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in his name can be made to St. John’s Food Pantry, 44 Temple St Worcester, Mass.
