Subscription Update Obituary

     Richard E. Daniels, 78, of Worcester, went on to join his parents and his savior, Jesus Christ in Heaven on Monday, June 27, 2016.

Richard was born in Worcester, son of the late, John F. and Mary C. (Feeherry) Daniels. He is survived by two sisters in law, Mary A. McCormack and Mary J. Daniels, both of Hudson, his dear friend and caregiver, Raquel Quinones of Worcester; four nieces, Kathleen Hatfield and her partner Derek Oldham, Mary Beth Streecter and her husband Angel, Patricia Hodge and her husband Stuart, and Theresa Jerszyk and her husband Gary; eight grand nieces and nephews.

Richard attended the Cardinal Cushing-Saint Coletta Day School. He was actively involved in program with the Seven Hills Foundation of Worcester, and through the foundation he worked in building services at several area businesses, including The College of The Holy Cross.

Richard loved the Red Sox, Celtics, and Patriots. He was fascinated by airplanes and enjoyed travelling with his caregivers. He also enjoyed golf, church activities, good food, and good ol’ country music.

Richard’s family and his caregiver, wish to thank the wonderful people involved in his life and his care; the people at Seven Hills Foundation, Faith and Grace Christian Center of Worcester and Nonotuck Resource Associates, who loved him and became his extended family.

Calling Hours for Richard will be held on Saturday, July 2, from 8:30 a.m. until the start of the Funeral Service at 10 a.m., in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
