Richard C. Lemoine (LaFlash) passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital after a courageous battle with lung cancer.  He was predeceased by his loving wife Pamela J. (Pellitier) Lemoine in 2007.

Richard was born on October 6, 1949 and was the son of Flora M. (Mailloux) and Clarence N. Lemoine of Worcester, MA.  After graduating from Burncoat High School, he earned his Associate’s degree in Business Management.  He continued on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict in Vietnam.  Upon his return, he married his wife, Pam, and started their family.  Richard worked as a machinist for many years and later retired from Sandlock in Worcester.  In Richard’s free time he enjoyed playing the guitar with the New Hope Folk Group as a founding member at St. Christopher Church, traveling, building model airplanes, and serving as a 4th Degree Officer in the Knights of Columbus.

Richard leaves many behind that will miss him, including his son, Richard C. Lemoine, Jr and his companion, Blythe Hohler of Worcester; his siblings the late Edgar LaFlash, Jr of Worcester, Joan and her late husband, Shane Orr of Tennessee, the late Fredrick LaFlash and his late wife, Sandra of Leicester, Russell LaFlash of Leicester, Theresa and her husband Warren Snow of Leicester, Lynn and her husband Norman Vigeant of Worcester, Carolyn and her late husband Sonny Young of Worcester, the late William LaFlash of Worcester. Francis LaFlash of Florida, John LeClair (LaFlash) with whom he lived for many years and Irma St. Laurent of Leicester. Richard also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins. Richard was extremely close to his cousin Joyce and her late husband Larry Newell, Jr. whom their children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews lovingly referred to him as “Uncle Rick”.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Richard’s life with visitation, on his and Pamela’s Wedding Anniversary date, May 4th from 10:00AM until 10:45AM at Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston; followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM at St. Christopher Church, 950 West Boylston St., Worcester.  Burial with full Military Honors will immediately follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Richard’s name to the McAuley Nazareth Home for Boys, 77 Mulberry St. Leicester, MA 01524.
