Subscription Update Obituary

Richard C. Duguay, 87, of Auburn, passed away on December 20, 2022, at UMass Memorial Medical Center. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ellen M. (Hunter) Duguay, with whom he shared 58 years.

He leaves his children: Richard Duguay and his wife Kesia of West Boylston; Constance Murphy and her husband Martin of Co. Clare, Ireland. His grandchildren: Amanda Duguay and Daniel Duguay; his great-grandchildren: Taygen, Silas, Adrianna, Jaxson, Kasen, and Madison; along with cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Richard was also predeceased by his sister, Bella Wilbanks (Ranfone).

Richard was born in Worcester to the late Clarence and Constance (Tufano) Duguay. He was a graduate of Commerce High School, Worcester, in 1953. Shortly thereafter, he served our country in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1961.
Most recently he worked for Guardsmark Security after retiring from Heald Machine as a Metallurgist; prior to Heald,

Richard worked for Lindberg Steel Treating for 20 years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Worcester County Food Bank and the Worcester Animal Rescue League. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Duguay family from 4 – 7 PM on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn, with a prayer service at 7 PM. Burial with military honors will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
