Richard A. Steutermann, 81, beloved husband of the late Maude (Rich) Steutermann, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Dodge Park Rest Home after an illness. Born in Lynn, he was a son of the late Raymond and Blanche (Olofson) Steutermann.

After graduating from Commerce High School, Richard furthered his education and attended the Peterson School of Engineering in Boston. He enjoyed a long career as a stationary engineer with local medical facilities including UMass Memorial for 16 years and Worcester State Hospital from where he retired after 29 years of dedicated service. Richard was a lifetime member of the Auburn Sportsman’s Club as well as several other area clubs. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing in both Canada and New England.

He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his two sisters, Frances Philblade and her husband, Raymond of Holden, and Sandra Brothers of Worcester; six stepchildren; many step-grandchildren and step-great-greatgrandchildren; and two nieces and two nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10th in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street, Worcester. Following the Mass, Richard will be laid to rest beside his wife, Maude at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave, Paxton, MA 01612. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
