Subscription Update Obituary

Raymond G. Lavigne, 77, died unexpectedly at his home on October 31. He leaves two daughters, Lisa M. Barrows, and Wendy A. Pelchat and her husband Norman, Jr. of Spencer, his former wife and close friend, Linda J. Lavigne of Rochdale, three grandchildren; Makenna Barrows, Morgan and Logan Pelchat, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother; Norman Lavigne.

Born in Worcester, he was the son of George & Lucille (Dubois) Lavigne.

Ray  worked as a shipping and receiving manager at FLEXcon in Spencer, retiring in 2011.

He was a graduate of David Prouty High School in Spencer and then served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

An avid car buff, he was a past Vice President of the Northeast, NY & New England Chevelle Group, taking great pride in his ’70 Chevelle.

Everyone affectionately knew him as “Uncle Ray”.

Memorial calling hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 3rd. from 4 to 7 p.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Private burial with Military Honors will be held at the convenience of the family in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Memorial donations may be made to East Brookfield EMS, 273 E.Main St., E.Brookfield, MA 01515.
