Subscription Update Obituary

     Ralph Russo, 91, of Worcester passed away peacefully with loved ones gathered by his side on Saturday, December 5, 2015.

Ralph was born in Worcester, the son of Michael and Angelina (Torres) Lorusso. He grew up in Worcester and attended Commerce High School and Worcester Boys Trade. Ralph was a proud veteran of World War II and served in Europe. He worked for Wyman Gordon Company for more than 20 years then worked for the City of Worcester as an auto mechanic for over 20 years, retiring in 1992.

Ralph was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, travel and spending time with his family.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 65 years Santina “Tina” (Scappaticci) Russo; two sons, Stephen R. Russo and his wife Linda of Holden, Joseph P. Russo and his wife Sandra of Sutton; a sister, Mary Ciufreddo of Worcester; a brother in-law Ben, sisters in-law Michelina and Mary; five grandchildren, Lisa Casko and her husband Scott, Joanne, Kevin, Jennifer and Brian Russo; two great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. A son, Michael A. Russo, three sisters and three brothers pre deceased him.

Ralph’s funeral will be held Wednesday, December 9th at 11:30 AM in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry Street. Burial with military honors in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton will follow. Calling hours are Private. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN, 38105 or www.stjude.org.
