Ralph J. Williamson,89, of Spencer, died Tuesday, Feb. 1 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Worcester.

He was the husband of Lois M. (McSherry) Williamson who died in 2016. He leaves his sons;J.Michael Williamson and his wife Kristen of Cape Coral, FL., Brian P. Williamson and his longtime companion Fernanda of Hudson, Gregg S. Williamson and his wife Barbara of Amelia Court House, VA, and R.Jay Williamson and his wife Jenifer of Winterhaven, FL., his daughter in law; Joyce Williamson of Spencer, several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a son Kevin Williamson, a grandson; Mark Williamson, brothers; Arthur, Andrew and R.Patrick Williamson and a sister Mary O’Brien.

Ralph owned and operated A.M Williamson & Sons Contractors for many years before becoming the maintenance supervisor at the New England Science Center prior to his retirement.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Arthur M. and Theresa (Cook) Williamson and graduated from St. John’s High School in Worcester and also earned an associate’s degree from Worcester Junior College. He later served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

At the family’s request, funeral services are private with burial in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton at a later date. Please omit flowers, contributions may be made to the Spencer Rescue Squad, Inc., 6 Bixby Rd., Spencer, 01562.
