Subscription Update Obituary

     Ralph J. Brosnahan, 82, of Worcester, passed away peacefully, Sunday, January 31, 2021 at the UMass-Memorial Medical Center after a long illness.

He was born in Worcester, son of the late Daniel F. Brosnahan and Florence A. (Gravelene) Brosnahan Lawler.

Ralph leaves his wife of 36 years, Mary I. (Barna) Brosnahan; two sisters, Joanne Elliott of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and Kathleen Vandeford and her husband Lawrence of Littleton, Ma.; two brothers, John Brosnahan and his wife Kathy from S.C.; Paul Brosnahan and his wife Linda of Worcester; a stepbrother, George Haller and his wife Virginia of Eastham, Ma.; two daughters, Andrea E Armlin and Kelly McLaughlin, both in Maine; five grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his twin brother Arthur Brosnahan and his older brother Daniel Brosnahan.

Ralph worked at Norton Co. for 39 years before retiring due to illness.

Ralph sang with the Worcester Light Opera Co. and Fabulons in his early years. He enjoyed following Boston sports, especially watching the Patriots with his brother Paul. He was never serious, always joking and singing.

Calling hours are Friday, February 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral Mass will be Saturday, February 6, at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

Masks and distancing are required at the funeral home, church and cemetery.
