Rachel V. (Chamberland) Charland, 64, of Worcester, died Monday, Sept. 7, 2009 in Radius Healthcare, Worcester. She leaves her former husband, Michael Charland of Worcester; four daughters, Michelle Charland LaRose and her husband Michael of Oxford, Deborah Charland of Ft. Myers, Fl., Lori Charland of Dudley and Brenda Charland and her husband, Robert Charbonneau of Dudley; two brothers, Richard and Raymond Chamberland; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was born in Southbridge, a daughter of Adelard and Victoria (Lambert) Chamberland. Mrs. Charland worked as a certified nurse assistant at the former Gorham Park Nursing Home and had been a sterilization tech at the former Worcester City Hospital.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, Sept. 10, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m in St. Joseph Church, 35 Hamilton St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Allegiance Hospice, 67 Middle St., Suite 503, Lowell, MA 01852. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St, is directing funeral arrangements.
