Subscription Update Obituary

     Peter J. Kaseta, 91, of Worcester, died Saturday, April 22, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Joanna M. (Zecker) Kaseta in 2010 and a great grandson, Nicholas Degre in 2011.

He leaves two daughters, Joan M. Degre of Worcester and Jean M. Kaseta of Grafton and four sons, Peter M. Kaseta and his wife Diana of Cantonment, FL, Michael P. Kaseta and his wife Ruth of Auburn, James T. Kaseta of Worcester and Thomas J. Kaseta of Grafton. He also leaves three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Kaseta and two sisters, Mary Kaseta and Ann Menard.

He was born in Worcester, son of Lithuanian immigrants, Felix and Mary (Mikiationiute) Kaseta and attended Worcester Boys Trade School. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. Peter worked at Smith Valve Corporation for many years, retiring in 1986. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed.

Funeral Services and burial in Worcester County Memorial Park will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter’s memory may be made to the Jewish Healthcare Hospice, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.

Arrangements are in the care of Lindquist Lundin Funeral Home, 36 Butler Street.
