Subscription Update Obituary

     Peter H. Locke, 78, a resident of St. Mary’s Health Care Center, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at the UMass-Memorial Medical Center.

His wife of 49 years, Christine (Salatiello) Locke, died in 2012. He leaves a son Peter B. Locke and his wife Wendy of Worcester; two daughters Deborah C. Locke of Ohio and Patricia A. Berard of Leicester; six grandchildren, Benjamin, Kristina, Tyler, Nicholas, Baylen, Nina and Rylan; a brother Robert Locke and his wife Jan of Oxford; three nieces, Donna, Denise and Erika; a nephew Christopher; and his extended family at St. Mary’s Health Care Center. His sister Mary A. Locke died in 2006.

Peter was born in Worcester, son of Clifton H. and Kathryn A. (Healey) Locke.

After graduating from North High School, he served three years on active duty in the U.S. Army.

Peter worked in the shipping and receiving dept. of Coppus Engineering Co. in Worcester and Millbury for more than more than 25 years, retiring in 2000.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Alhambra Council (Fourth Degree) and the Main South American Legion Post.

Funeral services with burial in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Health Care Center, 39 Queen St., Worcester 01610 or Veterans Inc., 69 Grove St., Worcester 01605.

The Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, is directing arrangements.
