Subscription Update Obituary

Pauline R. (Cormier) Kenneway Merhib, 85, of River St., died peacefully Saturday, May 21st at her home surrounded by her loving family. She leaves 3 sons; William C. Kenneway Jr. and his wife Lisa of Hingham, John F. Kenneway and his wife Maureen of Sturbridge and Steven P. Kenneway and his wife Joanne of Massachusetts, 4 daughters; Kathleen A. Warren and her husband Joseph of Oxford, Karen I. Mitchell of Franklin, Tammy M. Burke and her husband Paul of Port St. John, FL., and Robin M. McGee of Leicester; Pauline’s devoted caregiver for the past 6 years, 23 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, her sister, Therese M. Sauro of Spencer, 2 step-daughters; Maureen Weiloch and Carol Sousa, both of South Carolina and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her first husband William C. Kenneway Sr., her second husband Tony Merhib died in 2016, her son Michael S. Kenneway, her 2 brothers Raymond A. Cormier & Francis H. Cormier and step-son Robert Merhib. Pauline was born in Whitinsville the daughter of Raymond and Irene (Hebert) Cormier. She was the owner of Mariano’s Restaurant and Bakery. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crafts and especially having fun with her grandchildren. She was a parishioner of St. Aloysius-St. Jude Church and a member of their Ladies Guild. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude for the tender care and support provided by the Brookhaven Hospice Triage and Nursing Staff.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, June 9th. at 11:00 AM in St. Aloysius-St. Jude Church, 491 Pleasant St., Leicester. Burial in Worcester County Memorial Park will be at the convenience of the family. The MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester, is directing arrangements for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105 or Brookhaven Hospice, 114 Turnpike Rd., Ste 206, Westborough, MA 01581.
