Subscription Update Obituary

     Pauline Augusta (Havener) Havener, 93, of Milford, NH, died Sunday, April 28, 2019.

Polly was born April 11, 1926 in Rockland, ME the daughter of Pierre & Mildred Havener. She graduated from Rockland High School in 1944. Polly then went on to graduate from the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts in 1948, receiving a traveling scholarship for further studies.

Polly married L. Clifton Havener, Jr. in 1948 and they resided for 30 years in Medfield, MA with their 2 children. “Clif” died in 1981. Polly leaves a daughter Susan Allen & her husband Tim of Mont Vernon, NH, a son Frederic Havener & his wife Shannon of Frederick, CO; and 5 grandchildren: Christine, Nathan, Daniel, Ted, & Benji.

After her husband’s death, Polly lived on Cape Cod where she enjoyed singing in the choir, Bible Studies, and portrait painting. In 2008 Polly moved to New Hampshire to be closer to family.

The entire family would like to thank Polly’s caregivers who were so important in the last years of her life: Brookdale Sprucewood Memory Care in Durham, NH and Crestwood Center in Milford, NH.

A funeral service honoring and celebrating Pauline’s life will be held at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, MA on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Worcester County Memorial Park, 216 Richard’s Ave., Paxton. A reception will follow for family and friends.
