Paul A. Bobkowski, Sr., 86, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, June 8, 2023. He was born in Luzerne, PA to Adolph and Helen (Skrabut) Bobkowski and was raised in Bridgeport, CT. He lived in Holden for 54 years where he raised his family.

Paul proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge from military service, Paul studied industrial design at the University of Bridgeport. During his time at the University Paul met the love of his life, Carol A. Fritz, with whom he would share 62 years of marriage. After finishing his studies, Paul took a job as a graphic designer at Washburn Co. in Worcester and later settled in Holden.

Over the decades he made several artistic achievements, beginning with his internship at United Feature Syndicate under the supervision of Charles Schultz, creator of the Peanuts comics. In 1973 he founded Paul Bobkowski Industrial Design and operated the company for almost 50 years. He loved to create custom greeting cards for holidays and birthdays for all of his family members under his self-made brand Paulmark. He was a member of St. George Parish in Worcester where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and sang in the church choir. Paul had a lifelong passion for music and treasured his vast collection of vinyl records. He was also an avid sports fan and always looked forward to watching all the New England teams’ games while texting with his boys. He was especially proud of his family, and never missed an opportunity to cheer on his children and grandchildren at their special performances and sporting events.

Paul will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife, Carol A. (Fritz) Bobkowski; his sons, Paul A. Bobkowski, Jr. of Worcester, Patrick Bobkowski and his wife, Amy-Laing of Holden and Peter Bobkowski and his wife, Kara of Issaquah, WA; his daughters, Robin Brodrick and her husband, Hank of Clinton and Lisa Sclar and her husband, Barry of Holden; his brother, Christopher Bobkowski and his wife, Gloria of FL; his sisters, Marlene Beaudin and her husband, Tom of CT, Cookie Hart of CT and Rhonda Anderson and her husband, Jay of CT; his grandchildren, Ruby and Kirk Bobkowski, Madeline Benjamin, Sophia and Frank Sclar, Chase and Sloane Bobkowski and Isabella Chiaravallotti; his great-grandchildren, James Benjamin and Rose Bobkowski; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
