Subscription Update Obituary

     Patrick G. Aja, 60, of 212 Rawson Street died Thursday, Jan. 28 in St. Vincent Hospital after being stricken ill at home.

     He leaves his wife of 20 years Jodi A. Donohue-Aja, two daughters Jennifer Sanders and her husband Corky of Tampa, FL, Jessica Aja of Lutz, FL, a brother Michael L. Aja and his companion Marleen Foley of North Brookfield, three grandchildren Alexis, Jayden & Evelyn and three nephews Bryan, Adam & Nicolas Aja.

     Mr. Aja was born in Lebanon, New Hampshire, son of Lawrence A. and Wynona B. (Poirier) Aja. He worked for several years as an Elementary School Teacher in the Southboro School System before retiring. He graduated from Leicester High School, Leicester Junior College and received his bachelor’s degree in education from Framingham State College. He was a licensed pilot and when he received his license he was the youngest person to hold a pilot’s license in Worcester. He enjoyed fishing, gallivanting with “Charlie’s Angels” and had many good memories of South Pond. He loved talking to his grandchildren on the telephone.

     The funeral will be held Monday, Feb. 1 at 1:30 PM in MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will precede the service from 12:30-1:30 PM Monday. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Leicester Ambulance Fund, 3 Washburn Square, Leicester, MA 01524.
