Olive, or “Ollie” as she was affectionately known to family and friends, was born and raised in Worcester, a daughter of the late Edwin and Margaret (Fagerkvist) Blomstrom. She graduated from the former Commerce High School.

Olive worked for many years at the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester before her retirement. She was a longtime member of the Bethel Lutheran Church, Auburn where she was active in several of the church’s groups. Always proud of her Swedish heritage, Olive was a member of SAC Park in Shrewsbury.

Olive was the beloved wife of the late Carl H. Berg, who died in 2009. She was also predeceased by her two children, her son, Scott E. Berg, who died in 2011 and her daughter, Christine M. Mann, who died in 2012. She was also predeceased by her three siblings, Carl “Sodi” Blomstrom, Jeanette V. Laframboise and Sonja M. Dean, who died on September 18th. She leaves her only grandson, Andrew E. Berg of Auburn, and her caretakers, Mary and David Petro of Dudley as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A memorial life celebration funeral service will be held on Friday, September 28th at 2 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, 90 Bryn Mawr Avenue, Auburn.
