Norma V. (Towns) Killeen, 93, of Worcester died Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at home.
Her husband of 55 years, George E. Killeen, died in 2002.
She leaves two daughters, Nancy M. Bik and her husband Stephen of Shrewsbury, and Jean F. Killeen and her husband David Tiberii of Worcester, four sons, John T. Killeen of Longmeadow, George Killeen and his wife Judith of Falmouth, Mark C. Killeen and his wife Lydia of Bath Mich. and Gary D. Killeen of Worcester; nine grandchildren, Christienne K. Bik and her husband Paul Belsito, Reaghan H. Bik and her husband Jordi De Llano, and Paige E. Bik and her fiancé Daryl Reed; Matthew Killeen and his wife Lisa, and Tiffany Plouffe and her husband Nicholas; Christopher Killeen and his wife Trissa, Chase Killeen, Chandler Killeen and his wife Meghan, and Courtney Killeen; three step-grandchildren, Matthew Tiberii and his wife Nicole, Stephanie Centrone and her husband Tony, and Kylie D’Amore; and six great-grandchildren, Leo De Llano, Adianna de Llano, Cooper Plouffe, Foster Killeen, and Logan and Enzo Tiberii, and several nieces and nephews.
Norma was born in Worcester, daughter of Chandler and Edith (Perron) Towns, and lived in Worcester all her life.
Before her marriage to George, she worked at Gratton & Knight in Worcester. After raising her children, she went back to work helping her children in food service and restaurants. She worked at the Inside Scoop in the center of Paxton for several years. She worked at Thymes Sq. on the Hudson in Worcester for many years. She was famous for her recipes for bacon twists and Norma’s “Bombah Burger.”
She was a former president of the Thorndyke Road School Parent Teachers Assn.
There will be a calling hour Saturday, February 14, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. A service will follow in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
