Subscription Update Obituary

     Norma S. (Brunelle) Beland, 83, of Fortier Street, died Monday, April 24, 2017, at CareOne in Millbury. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Harry A. Beland who died in 2009. She is survived by seven children, Susan Abraham of Worcester, Donna McGrath and her husband Nick of Webster, David Beland of Worcester, Donald Beland and his wife Jayne of Venice, FL, Patricia Lavallee and her husband Robert of Oxford, Cynthia Beland of Oxford, and Pamela Pizzetti and her husband Mitch of Longs, SC; a brother, William Brunelle of Mississippi; a sister, Gail Gillon of Westboro; 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Frederick and Ella (Rafuse) Brunelle, and lived most of her life in Worcester.

Mrs. Beland worked at the Blair House in Worcester for 9 years, retiring in 1995. She was the best homemaker in the world, was a wonderful mother to her children, and took care of most of her grandchildren. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. She enjoyed playing cards, loved ironing, and could often be found singing and dancing with her mop.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017, at Paradis-Givner Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Calling hours are Thursday, April 27, 2017, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CareOne at Millbury, c/o the Activities Dept., 312 Millbury Ave., Millbury, MA 01527.
