Subscription Update Obituary

Worcester-Nicholas D. Kontos, II, 29, died peacefully on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at UMass Medical Center.
He leaves his mother Helen (Cunningham) Richard of Worcester, his father Nicholas D. Kontos and Eleni (Fylakouri) Kontos of Worcester, a brother Joseph E. Richard III of Worcester, a sister Kelly Hong of Worcester, half-sisters Nikki and Nina, an aunt Sofia Kontos from Greece, two uncles, James Cunningham Jr. of North Carolina and Lee Cunningham of Worcester, two nephews, Javian and Joseph, two nieces, Arianna and Sierra and his girlfriend Tiffany Bosse and their beloved puppy Cash. He was predeceased by his brother in law Chino Hong, his best buddy. Nicholas graduated from Doherty High School in 2010. He loved boating, all water sports, snowboarding, soccer, golf and motorcycles. He was affectionately known by all as “Terpjerk” and ran a business called Kontos Maintenance for several years and for the City of Worcester.

Visiting Hours will be held Monday, January 17, from 2-4pm at Callahan Fay Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St. A Funeral will be held at 11 am. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will be follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
