Nicolo “Nick” C. Simeone, 89, of Worcester Rd. died Monday, December 11, 2017 at his home.

Nick was born in Barre, MA, the son of Giuseppe & Rosina (Neri) Simeone. He attended Barre High School following which he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served his country proudly and was honorably discharged to resume his life in Barre. He met the love of life, Jerry, with whom he spent 62 years of devoted married and family life in the house that he built on Worcester Road. She passed away in 2012. He leaves 2 sons Wayne and Paul and their spouses Joanne and Deborah, respectively; 4 wonderful grandchildren, Justin, Kristin, Nicholas and Calla, of whom he was very proud; a brother Amerigo “Mike” Simeone and his wife Fannie; a niece and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Gildo Simeone.

Nick worked for many years at the Barre Wool Combing Co., Warner & Swasey and the L. Farber Co. He was an avid gardener, Patriots fan and jazz aficionado. He delighted in sharing these pleasures with good friends and a close, loving family. Generous, dignified and warm, with smiling eyes and a beautiful, soulful heart, he was an exemplary husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. The gift of his kind, gentle spirit was repaid by the many who loved him, and he never once took for granted their abiding accompaniment.

The funeral and celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00am in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 96 S. Barre Road, Barre. Calling hours will be held from 10-11am in the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
