Nancy Elizabeth Martin, a caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s, on January 12, 2022, at age 89. She leaves her loving son, Scott W. Martin and his wife, Patricia; her granddaughter Ashley M. Foley and her husband, Matthew Foley, whom she was very close to; and her two great-grandsons, Ford and Dean. She was predeceased by her husband Robert W. Martin on November 3rd, 1983.

Nancy grew up on Eureka St in Worcester, where she met her husband, Robert. They moved to Holden in 1958.

Nancy went to school in Boston at Katherine Gibbs School. She then worked at Wyman Gordon as a secretary for the lab.

In 1975 Nancy started Martin Tool & Manufacturing Corp with her husband Robert in Holden. The company later moved to Hubbardston where she ran the office for 30 years. Nancy was also a member of ABWA and The Mary Martha Circle at Chaffins Congregational Church in Holden.

Nancy moved to Cape Cod in 2007 and then to Naples, FL. She lived in Naples, FL for the past 3 years.

Nancy was well-loved by many. She was extremely kind, sweet, and generous. She loved to swim and was a crossword puzzle enthusiast. She would often hear local musicians around the Cape because of her passion for music. She loved animals of any kind. Throughout her life she would take in strays and would immediately make them a part of her family.

Funeral services are private and under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to Cape Cod Veterans (of which she was a member), Cape Cod Veterans P.O. Box 81, Dennis port, MA 02639.
