Nancy Ann Owens, 71, a resident of Shrewsbury for 33 years, died peacefully at home in the presence of her partner for over 31 years Christine A. Anderson also of Shrewsbury.

Nancy was born at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton to William and Alice V. (Sheehan) Owens. Nancy is survived by her sister Marilyn Clark of Sturbridge and Patricia Wednt and her husband Fred of Charlton and several nephews. She was pre-deceased by brothers William Owens of San Francisco, California and Donald Owens of Pine Island, FL. and survived by his wife Linda Owens and niece Cheryl of Stony Point, NY. The family lived in Brighton and Nancy graduated from high school at Madonna Hall in Marlborough.

Nancy worked in accounting at the Boston Stock Exchange (BSC) primarily for the National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) for 24 years. Following the closure of the BSC, Nancy worked in accounting at Creative Playthings, Inc. in Framingham until she retired.

Nancy loved watching the birds as well as boats rides on Lake Quinsigamond with her partner Chris and beloved golden retriever Leif and then rescue golden Violet.
