Michele A. (Boucher) Sargent, 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2019 at Beaumont Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation after a courageously fought battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born in Worcester on September 30, 1947 a daughter of Bernadette (Bourgouin) and the late Louis Boucher. Michele attended local schools and was a graduate of Holy Name High School where she was a cheerleader. Following graduation, she began a 35-year career as a bookkeeper for her family’s business, Boucher’s Good Books on Lake Avenue.

Michele was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling, especially to the Bahamas and to Las Vegas where she loved trying her luck at the casinos. Many friendships and special memories were made in later years when she and Reed would winter in Fort Myers, Florida. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her and especially missed by her beloved dog, Peaches.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 36 years, Reed W. Sargent; five loving children, George Rocheford and his wife, Darlene, Danielle King and her husband, Thomas, Marc Rocheford and his wife, Caitlin, Lisa Sargent and Melinda Granger and her husband, Christopher; her mother, Bernadette Boucher; her grandchildren, Bryanna, Gabrielle, Brandon, Jacob, Dominique, George IV, and Jordyn; two sisters, four brothers and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends will gather to celebrate her life on Wednesday, November 13th from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Thursday, November 14th at St. John’s Church, 44 Temple St., Worcester. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park.
