Merrilyn (Carelli) Peloquin, 72, a lifelong resident of Worcester passed away unexpectedly at home Wednesday June 28th, 2023.

Merrilyn was born in Worcester, the daughter of June Carelli and the late Paul Carelli.  She was raised in Worcester and graduated from the former Sacred Heart Academy.  Merrilyn worked all her life in the restaurant industry for many local businesses as a waitress, supervisor and manager.

Merrilyn is survived by a son, Max Peloquin, his wife Emily and their children, Anthony and Ava of Millbury; her mother, June Carelli of Worcester; two brothers, Paul Carelli, Jr of Grafton, Thomas Carelli of Oxford; two sisters, Margie Swenson and Kristen Herlihy both of Worcester; her former husband, Edward Peloquin of Worcester; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Merrilyn was an enthusiastic Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Yankees fan.  She enjoyed listening to music.   Merrilyn’s greatest moments in life were those spent with her family, during the holidays, special occasions and anytime they could be together.

In keeping with Merrilyn’s wishes, funeral services will be held privately.   The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
