It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maureen Johnson from Worcester, MA who died on 4/5/23 from cancer. Maureen was a beloved partner, sister and friend to many who remember her smile, warmth and great sense of humor. She loved music, especially the Beatles and Todd Rundgren. She played the piano and loved to sing and read. She enjoyed solving puzzles. She loved her family and was a very loyal friend. She was always interested in hearing the latest updates about her nieces, nephews and their children. She enjoyed horseback riding when she was younger and was a lover of all animals.

Maureen was born on December 29, 1964, in Worcester, MA, daughter of Joseph Johnson and Mary (Daly) Johnson. She graduated from Burncoat High School in 1982. She took college classes at Quinsigamond Community College. She worked for many years at Worcester County National Bank.

She is survived by her longtime partner Chris McLaughlin who shared her love for music, concerts and laughter, her sister Louise (Johnson) Nally, and many friends and relatives. She is predeceased by her parents Joseph Johnson and Mary (Daly) Johnson, her brother David Johnson and her sister Mary (Johnson) Clancey.

When I’m gone please remember only the times we smiled and laughed.

When you think of me, while I’m at peace and rest, hold me in your heart, and remember me at my best.

There will be a small private service for family members.
