Subscription Update Obituary

     Matthew R. Brote, 27, longtime Shrewsbury resident, beloved son of Susan Brote-Guinto and George Guinto passed away suddenly Friday, August 1st 2014 surrounded by his loving family.

Matthew was born in Worcester; he grew up in Shrewsbury, graduated from Shrewsbury High School class of 2004 and then attended Quinsigamond Community College. He has lived in Shrewsbury all his life.

Besides his parents. Matt is survived by his beloved grandparents Raymond and Joanne Brote; his sisters, Gianna and Arianna Guinto all of Shrewsbury; his uncle, David Brote; best friend, Sarah Batbouta; several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends.

Matthew worked for the past several years as a carpenter/framer for J & R Builders. He was also an avid Computer whiz and also had a love for cooking.

A compassionate, fun loving individual, who cherished his family, playing video games, and teasing the family pet dog “Katie” His favorite thing to do was the family trips taken to “Disney World”

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours, Tuesday, August 5th from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. A prayer service will follow at 6:00 pm. Burial in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in his name can be made to the Joslin Diabetes Center, one Joslin Place, Boston 02215 or the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St. Framingham 01720.
