Subscription Update Obituary

Matthew E. DiTullio, age 36, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 in Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston surrounded by his family.

He leaves his wife of 4 years, Lindsay M. (O’Hara) DiTullio; his two year old daughter, Ellie K. DiTullio; his parents, Edward M. and Leona M. (Gould) DiTullio; his grandfather, Robert W. Gould, Sr., all of Webster; two brothers, Brandon R. DiTullio and his wife Emily of Worcester, and Ryan J. DiTullio and his husband Abimael Cedeno of Webster; a sister, Katelyn I. DiTullio of Webster; his father and mother-in-law, Michael O’Hara of Windham, ME and Diane Tempesta of Turner, ME; two brother-in-laws, Ryan M. O’Hara and his fiancĂ©e Kiaya of Norway, ME and Reid P. O’Hara of Turner, ME; aunts and uncles, Donna & Vincent Eori, Cindy DiTullio & her partner Patti Clooney, Robert & Gloria Gould, Donna & Curtis Cleaves, James & Beverly Gould, Sheila & Robert Laplante, William Gould; nephews and nieces, Brandon M. DiTullio, Brooke M. DiTullio, Jowell Cedeno, Marcus L. DiTullio, Maddox O’Hara & Finn O’Hara. He was eagerly awaiting the birth of his brother Brandon’s third child and the adoption of brother Ryan’s two sons.

Matthew was born in Worcester on September 13, 1984 and graduated St. Peter Marian High School, Worcester. He went on to earn an Associate Degree from Quinsigamond Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Studies from Worcester State University in 2008.

Matt worked for five years as a care coordinator at the Hospice of Western and Central Mass, taking a leave of absence due to illness. An avid sports fan and participant, he played first base and third base for the Central New England Baseball Association in Worcester and for the Framingham Metro-West Orioles. He enjoyed candlepin bowling, cross-fit training and fishing. His greatest treasure was the time he spent with his family.

The family would like to thank Dr. Garcia, Dr. Ho, Lisa Stewart, and their team at Dana Farber and Brigham & Women’s for the exceptional care they provided to Matt.

The funeral will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021 from the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street with a Mass at 10:00 AM at Saint Louis Church, 15 Lake Street. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Sunday, August 15, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the funeral home, please wear a mask. The family requests that memorial donations may be made to Ellie K.
