Subscription Update Obituary

Mary Ann Murphy, age 80, past away peacefully in the early hours on the 8th of September 2022 after a courageous battle with ALS. Born in Bronx, New York on the 28th of July 1942, Mary Ann was the daughter of the late Michael and Rose McConnon. She was predeceased by her brother, Patrick McConnon and former husband, James Murphy.

Mary Ann will be lovingly remembered by her son, Brian Murphy and his wife, Cassie of Los Angeles, California and her daughter, Colleen and her husband, John Altison of Hubbardston.
Mary Ann also leaves her grandsons, Seamus Murphy and Jack Altison.

She was a graduate of Aquinas High School in Bronx, New York, class of 1960. She worked for Liberty Mutual in Natick as the Customer Service Manager. Mary Ann was also a former resident of both Auburn and Marlborough.

Mary Ann was a devoted cat lover, owning many cats over the years. An avid reader, adventurous cook, and travel enthusiast. She was also a former member of Auburn Red Hats.
There will be a private graveside service at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.

Services are in the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden.
