Subscription Update Obituary

     Maryann (Bagdonas) Bragg, 69, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester. She was born in Holden, the daughter of Stanley and Dorothy (Gillis) Bagdonas.

Maryann graduated from South High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Worcester State College.  She was an elementary school teacher in Charlton, Worcester, Leominster and the Wachusett area.  Most recently, she worked at the Jenifer’s Hallmark store in West Boylston.  Above all else, taking care of her family was always her first priority.  She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Rutland for many years.

She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her son, Michael P. Bragg and his wife, Jennifer of Worcester; her daughter, Amy E. Sherman and her husband, Phillip of Washington, DC; and her two grandchildren, Jack and Hailey Sherman. In addition to her parents, Maryann was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas P. Bragg in 2012.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Maryann’s family from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.  A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 3, at the First Congregational Church, 264 Main Street, Rutland.  Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richard’s Avenue, Paxton.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Maryann’s name may be made to Rose Monahan Hospice Home, 10 Judith Road, Worcester, MA 01602.
