Subscription Update Obituary

Mary E. {Marley} Santora, 90, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on June 20,2023. Beloved wife of 64 wonderful years to the late Natale “Nal” Santora. Mary and Nal spent many fall and winters at their vacation home in Naples, Florida. They had many friends there and were quite active in that community.

Mary worked a number of years at Nal’s Paint and Wallpaper alongside her husband and children. She was famous for her delicious homemade muffins she would bake for the crew everyday she worked.

Mary was an expert seamstress. She even crafted her own sewing patterns which came in handy when she created all five daughter’s wedding dresses.

Pre-Pandemic, Mary was an active participant at the Memory Cafe’s at the Shrewsbury Library and the Shrewsbury Senior Center.

Devoted mother of Debbie Hill and her husband Keith, Sandra Weller and her husband Terry, David Santora and his wife Jeanne, William Santora, Donna Soucy and her husband Paul, Lisa Appel and her husband Kevin, Cindy Santora and her partner Rick Snellin and Richard Santora. Loving grandmother of Alexis Dockerty, Zachary Santora, Cody, Brendan and Mary Appel, Michael Fox, Fae Soucy, Amy Descarreaux. Great grandmother of Mia and Nicholas Descarreaux and Jacob Baxter. She leaves two brothers William Marley of Lackland, Florida and Francis Marley of Cherry Valley, Ma.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents John F. and Helen G. (O’Connell) Marley along with her brothers Roland, John, James, and Richard and her sisters Helen and Betty.
