Subscription Update Obituary

     Mary E. (Eisnor) Karpowicz, 88, of Worcester, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at home.

Her husband of 39 years, Alfred P. Karpowicz, died in 1990.

She leaves five sons, Kevin Karpowicz and his wife Michelle of Worcester, Gary W. Karpowicz of Webster, Steven J. Karpowicz of North Carolina, Mark Karpowicz and his wife Maureen of Braintree, and Brian P. Karpowicz and his wife Barbara of Worcester; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.

She also leaves four sisters, Elaine Woodside, Beverly Paskalis, Helen Adams and Janice Sullivan, and two brothers, William Eisnor and Vernon Eisnor Jr. She was predeceased by her sisters Shirley Walsh, Barbara Grabowski and Dorothy Clark.

Mary was born in Hartford, Conn., daughter of Vernon and Ada (Maroney) Eisnor.

Mary worked many years for the Clark Mailing Service Co. in Worcester.

Mary was an avid bingo player and she enjoyed cross stitching, jigsaw puzzles and reading.

Calling hours are Friday, February 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral will be Saturday, February 14, from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 600 Cambridge St., Worcester.

Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

Flowers may be sent or donations may be made to Special Olympics Massachusetts, in care of the Yawkey Sports Training Center, 512 Forest St., Marlborough, MA 01752.
