Subscription Update Obituary

     Mary Eileen (Johnson) Clancey, 65, of Worcester, died Thursday, June 29, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital after an illness.

She leaves her husband of 14 years, Kenneth Clancey; her son, Erik Saarinen of Worcester; three sisters, Priscilla Cirillo and her husband Leonard of Worcester, Louise Nally and her husband, Thomas of Hubbardston, and Maureen Johnson of Millbury. Her brother David Johnson, died in 1988.

Mary was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph E. and Mary N. (Daly) Johnson. Early in her life, she lived in Auburn and attended Auburn High School.

Mary was a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service in the Rutland Post Office for 20 years before retiring early this year.

Mary was a kind and generous person who will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral arrangements are private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s name are suggested to Sweetpea F.O.R. Animals Inc., 1090 Pleasant St., Paxton, MA 01612.

The Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester, is directing arrangements.
