Subscription Update Obituary

Mary C. Pardee passed away peacefully Sunday, October 15h, 2023. Mary was born on December 26th, 1941 in County Galway, Ireland, the daughter of the late Michael and Maryann Shaughnessy. Mary moved to Worcester, MA in 1960, where she built a life and a family of her own.

Mary is survived by her children Michael C. Pardee, Marie E. Shaughnessy and David A. Pardee all of Worcester County. Mary is also survived by her granddaughter that she raised, Tarsha and her husband Michael Coyle of Sutton. Mary was a loving, loyal mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mary shared an extra special bond with her grandchildren Stephanie Pardee, Ashley Brunelle, Michael Pardee and Sarah Pardee all of Worcester County. Mary had 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her brother Thomas Shaughnessy and his late wife, Margaret of County Galway, Ireland, and many nieces and nephews.

Mary devoted her life and career to taking care of others. Mary’s guilty pleasures were apple pie and country music, so much so, she began the tradition of spending Sundays with her family at Indian Ranch enjoying various country concerts.

Mary will be welcomed in heaven by her sons John T. Pardee and Charles E. Pardee and her grandson John T. Stevens all of Worcester County and her parents and brother John Shaughnessy of County Galway, Ireland

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday October 19th, 2023 at Sacred Heart-St. Catherine of Sweden Parish 596 Cambridge St, Worcester, Ma 01610. A burial will be private at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton, Ma.
