Subscription Update Obituary

    Mary A Mason, 86, of Worcester died on Monday, December 2nd in her home. She was born in Charlottesville, Buckingham County, VA the daughter of Philmore and Ella Edmonds.
She was the wife of the late Robert E. Mason. She leaves her 5 children Carmelita Kilpatrick of Worcester, Irene (Berry) Nelson of Louisville, KY, Robert Berry of Worcester, Mae (Berry) Powers of Milton and Rosemary Mason of Worcester. Mary had eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild along with many nieces and nephews. We will miss her dearly.
A member of Christ Apostolic Church in Worcester and a generous giving servant there. She worked at Worcester State Hospital and UMass Medical Center as a Mental Health Assistant with mentally challenged patients for more than 20 years and enjoyed her time there. She was a strong activist for the Massachusetts Senior Action Council and a member of the Nokomis Temple #36 of was as a Daughter Ruler.
Calling hours are Thursday, December 5th from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by her funeral service. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
