Subscription Update Obituary

Marvin C. Fuller, 86, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 64 years Louise (Hanson) Fuller; 3 daughters- Susan Maynard and her husband Joseph of Oxford, Kathy O’Connor and her husband William of Worcester, and Donna McGuire and her husband James of Holden; 8 grandchildren Nicole, Christie, Kevin, Ashley, Jillian, Jennifer, John Fields Jr., and Allison; 8 great grandchildren- Joseph, Logan, Mason, Dakota, Camden, Penelope, Ainsley, and Roman; siblings- Delores Jedefski of Longmeadow, Waldo Fuller of Shangaloo, LA, Ralph Fuller of Florida, and James Fuller of North Brookfield; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son John Fuller and by siblings Shirley “Mitzy” Nicholson, Madeline Shedden, Joan Marritt, and Alfred Fuller.

“Marvelous Marv”, as he was affectionately known, was born in Ware, son of the late Waldo W. Fuller Sr. and Thelma (Winsky) Fuller. He graduated from High School and proudly served his country in the Army National Guard for 8 years. He worked as a truck driver for ABF Freight for many years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Worcester, SAC Park in Shrewsbury, The Retired Men’s Club of Greendale, The PER Association, The Elks National Foundation, The Auburn Elks, and The Teamsters Local 170. He served as Chairman of the Holyoke Soldiers Home for 47 years and enjoyed spending summers in Maine, going to the beach and on cruises, and, most of all spending time with his family. Throughout his life he and his wife Louise dedicated their time to helping those less fortunate and those in time of need.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 5-8 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester, MA 01605. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church Fales St. Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marvin’s memory may be made to the Elks National Foundation 2750 North Lakeview Ave. Chicago, IL 60614-2256 or to the MA Elks Scholarship 63 Bay State Rd. Lynnfield, MA 01940.
