Mark P. Prince, 46, passed away peacefully at UMass Memorial Medical Center University Campus on Monday, May 15, 2023 after a brief illness.

Mark is survived by his loving parents, two daughters, a loving sister, Meaghan Prince of Dudley, along with a stepsister, Lisa Haywood of Delaware, and a stepbrother, Travis Haywood, of Florida. He also leaves four loving aunts, Laurie Halpin of Millbury, Lita Killebrew of Worcester, Linore Dawson (Robert Dawson), Berwyn, PA; April Boykin (Melvin Boykin), Woodstock, GA; and an uncle, Anthony Prince of Macon, GA; a niece and nephew, Olivia and William Whitehurst, both of Dudley; along with a host of cousins and extended family. He was predeceased by uncles, Ronald Chester of Worcester, MA and Ronnie Prince, Rochester, NY.

Born in Worcester on September 11, 1976, Mark spent his early years growing up in Dudley and graduated from Bay Pay Vocational High School in 1995.

Mark had a very charismatic personality and was loved by a multitude of friends. He greeted everyone he came across with a huge smile and positive attitude. It has been said on numerous occasions that Mark could take over a room no matter what the
situation was. He was truly a larger-than-life character that gave everyone love and respect. He was also an avid Xbox gamer and sports fan who loved the Patriots, Celtics, Red Sox, and Bruins.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks and appreciation to UMass Memorial Hospital 6ICU staff for the extraordinary care, compassion and kindness given to Mark.

His visitation will be held on Friday, May 19th from 4:00 until 5:30 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a memorial service beginning at 5:30 p.m. A private burial for the family will be held at a later date.
