Marjorie A. (Solomon) Auger passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on Sunday 4 September 2016 at the Worcester Health Center.

“Margie” was the child of Swedish immigrants Hilmer E. and Christine M. (Franson) Solomon and called Worcester her home. She spent a year abroad in Sweden in 1981. A dedicated homemaker, Margie walked along a gentle and quiet path throughout her life. Her cooking and baking skills were well known to her family. At Christmas, her Swedish spritz cookies were an anticipated favorite and second to none. She loved animals and enjoyed being surrounded by a stuffed assortment of dogs, cats, and bunnies. She was an avid Word Search fan and it was common to find puzzle books close by her; she also had a weakness for Kit Kats and Hostess pies.

She leaves her brother Harold (Julie Ann) of North Carolina, her sister Sandra, and her dedicated caretaker and sister-in-law Shirley of Worcester, as well as, a host of nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband Wesley, and her brothers Thurston, Philip, and Bradford.

Nordgren Memorial Chapel is directing arrangements. There are no calling hours. A private ceremony will be held for the family at Worcester County Memorial Park.

Memorial donations in memory of Marjorie can be made to the Thurston E. Solomon-Everett J. Morter Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of the Greater Worcester Community Foundation; 370 Main Street, Suite #650, Worcester, MA 01608.

“….to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird’s nest or a wildflower in spring – these are some of the rewards of the simple life.” Rest in peace dear Margie.
