Subscription Update Obituary

Marion J. Ritacco, 71, of Worcester, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, in the comfort of her home.

Marion is survived by two daughters, Tracie M. Hammond of Shrewsbury, and Katie E. Raffa of Worcester; a brother John A. Ritacco and Mary Girard of West Boylston; two grandchildren, Jake A. Hammond and Talia M. Hammond, both of Shrewsbury; nieces, Tina M. Freedman, Dena L. Raffa, Gianna L Raffa; and nephews, John A. Ritacco, Jr, and Joseph P. Raffa.  Marion was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Albert W. and Mary D. (Perla) Ritacco and has lived a majority of her life here.

Marion was a talented dancer and dance instructor having operated the Marion Ritacco School of Dance on Plantation Street in Worcester for many years.  She enjoyed vacationing in Maine, interior and floral design, gardening and entertaining.  Her greatest joy was her family and sharing kindness to all those she touched in life.

Calling Hours for Marion will be on Tuesday, January 3, from 9 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, departing at 10:40 a.m. in procession to an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road, Worcester.  Interment will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Alzheimer or Hanover Theatre.
