Marion (Heckman) Blackman, 90, passed away on Friday, November 4th after a long illness. She leaves her son, Dana Blackman, a granddaughter, Daria Blackman, and a grandson, Joshua Blackman all of NH; a niece, Sandra LaRue of NC, a nephew, Daniel Rock of Rutland, along with many great and great great nieces and nephews. She also leaves her late husband Chester Blackman‘s children and their families. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister Phyllis Rock.

Marion was born in Worcester, of the late Dana and Mildred (Teele) Heckman. She attended Commerce High School and Clark University. In her youth she was an avid figure skater and enjoyed many local competitions. She worked briefly for Paul Revere Insurance Company but spend most of her career with the Anesthesia Associates of Memorial Hospital in Worcester. Along with her husband Chet, Marion was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Worcester where she taught Sunday School and was active with many guilds and church endeavors.

Marion especially enjoyed her grandchildren and always looked forward to spending time with them whether it be a weekend at their family camp in Lee, NH, vacationing to the tropics, or simply enjoying each others company. Family always came first to Marion and she was the matriarch of a large and loving family. Her smile and love will be forever etched in our hearts.
