Subscription Update Obituary

     Marie T. Barber, 90, of Worcester died Sunday, November 20th at home. Her husband of 65 years, Louis A. Barber died in 2012. She leaves a daughter, Sheila M. Guillotte and her husband, Mark of Holden; a daughter in law, Donna J. Dalbec of Holden; several grandchildren and great grandchildren including, Robert Dalbec. She was predeceased by a son Gary P. Barber, Sr. who died in 1995 and her brother, Ernest R. Johnson.

She was born in Worcester the daughter of Frank and Cora (Starbard) Johnson and graduated from the former David Hale Fanning School. At one time, Marie worked as a hairdresser. Marie was an artist who enjoyed spending time with her husband, painting, doing crafts, making puzzles and attending craft fairs. She was an avid reader who enjoyed attending book clubs. Marie was a classy and dignified woman with a great sense of humor. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.

Marie’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Homestead Hall and the Goddard House for the compassion and care they showed to her.

Her graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 26th at 11:00 AM in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Notre Dame Hospice, 555 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
