Subscription Update Obituary

Maria Votruba Klauzinski, 93, of Holden passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 29, 2018 after a brief stay at the Holden Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

She was born in Lesko, in south-eastern Poland and endured the German invasion and later the occupation by Soviet troops during WWII (1939-1945). Soon after the war, she met and married her loving and devoted husband, Marian, in 1946. Maria and Marian had their first son, Richard, in 1947. In 1950, they came to the United States. They had two more sons, Henry and George. Henry passed away in 1988. Marian passed away in 2011.

Maria is survived by her sisters, Janina Tawczynski and Elizabeth Ermanski, her sons, Richard and George, daughters-in-law, Elizabeth and Carol Klauzinski, her grandchildren, Alice Klauzinski, Philip and Christopher Klauzinski, and her great-grandchildren, Dalton, Catherine and Luke Huckabee.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, Sept. 4, at St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton St., Jefferson, MA 01522. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Mary’s Church or to Elder Services of Worcester Area, Inc., 67 Millbrook St. #100, Worcester, MA 01606. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
