Subscription Update Obituary

     Maria H. (Guertin) Curcio, 54, of 52 Shady Lane, formerly of Leicester, died Wednesday, April 15 in her home, after an illness. She leaves her husband of 14 years, Ralph J. Curcio; her mother, Eleanore L. (Stephan) Guertin of Charlton; a son, Derek M. Stephens of Leicester; a daughter, Ashley R. Stephens of Leicester; two grandchildren, Shya A. Stephens and Stratton S. Bombard;

two brothers, Donald V. Guertin, Jr. of Charlton and Glen Guertin of Rochdale; A sister, Iris B. McGrath of Holyoke; a niece Chelsea McGrath, two step-sons, Sean and Bryan Curcio; and six step-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a niece Brittany McGrath.

Maria was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Donald V. Guertin. She was a Medical Secretary at MCI Shirley before retiring due to illness.

She was a lover of wildlife and was also very spiritual. She enjoyed painting, photography, music, the ocean and riding motorcycles with Ralph. A devoted grandmother, her grandchildren meant the world to her, and she cherished every moment with them.

The funeral will be held Tuesday from the Morin Funeral Home, 1131 Main Street, Leicester, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Aloysius-St. Jude Church, 491 Pleasant Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter, PO Box 136, East Brookfield, MA 01515.
