     Margaret M. “Peg” (McKim) Martin, 81 of Worcester, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at St. Vincent’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Peg’s husband, Raymond R. Martin, passed away in 2007. She is survived by her five children, Cathy R. Martin of Winter Harbor, ME, Lori J. Martin of Worcester, Richard R. Martin and his wife Wanda, Bruce E. Martin all of Saco, ME, and Robert A. Martin and his wife Christine of Paxton; a sister, Denise Liberis and her husband David of Tucson, AZ; seven adored grandchildren, United States Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Daniel M. Martin and his wife Thuy, David A. Martin and his wife Courtney, Nicholas R., Richard R., Mark J., Ashley M., and Lauren E. Martin; five great grandchildren, Nina, Mia, Connor and Anthony Martin and Marshal St. Cyr; many nieces and nephews; her longtime friends, Mary, Ginny and Shirley. She is predeceased by a brother, Richard McKim.

Peg was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Albert McKim and Lillian (Ulings) Lusignan and graduated from Worcester Public Schools. She worked for the former AMGRO Premium Finance in the mail room for over 20 years before she retired. She was a faithful member of Greendale People’s Church. She loved God, family and life. She left a note to all “Lean on Jesus, He’s the best friend you’ll ever have.” Peg loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and family gatherings brought her great joy and comfort.

Peg’s funeral service will be held Friday, May 20, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A period of calling hours will be held on Friday, May 20th from 10-11:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior to her funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Greendale Peoples Church Food Bank, 25 Francis Street, Worcester, MA. 01606.
