Margaret “Peggy” (Martocci) Inangelo, 83, of Worcester, passed away surrounded by loved ones, Saturday, October 21, 2023.

Peg was born in Worcester, on February 13, 1940, the daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Trahant) Martocci.  She attended Commerce High School in Worcester and earned her nursing degree from City Hospital School of Nursing in 1961.   Peg married Robert J. Inangelo on November 10, 1962.  Peg and Bob spent 55 years devoted to each other and their family before Bob left her side on June 7, 2018.    Margaret worked in Nursing her entire life. She began her career at Worcester State Hospital then spent many years at Doctors Hospital (now AdCare) before returning to Worcester State Hospital until retirement.

Peg is survived by her three daughters, Lauren Heroux and her husband Dr. Paul Heroux of Holden, Andrea Orzechowski and her husband Richard of Hookset, NH, Carla Haynes and her husband Craig of Boylston;  two brothers, Joseph Martocci of Cape Cod and Thomas Martocci of Charlton; a brother in law, Edward Cox of Oxford; six grandchildren she cherished, Benjamin Orzechowski, Elliott and Nathan Heroux, Ethan, Wes and Ollie Haynes; nieces, nephews, in- laws, extended family and friends.  In addition to her husband Bob and parents, her sister, Judith Cox, predeceased her.

Peg enjoyed family ski vacations, trips to Walt Disney World and spending the summers with Bob and her family in Wells, ME. Peg was always called upon by family and friends for her wisdom and advice or just a listening ear.  She was the best advocate and strongest supporter through any circumstance.  She loved sewing and cooking for her family. Her family will miss her delicious dinners, which always included much laughter and meaningful conversation around the table. She loved being a mother to her daughters and a grandmother to her six grandsons.

Services for Peg will be held on Saturday, October 28th from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 25 Fales St., Worcester.  A burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.  A period of calling hours will be held on Friday, October 27th from 4-7 pm in the funeral home. To share your thoughts and memories of Peg, please visit her personal guestbook at www.mercadantefuneral.com.

The Inangelo family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Dodge Park Rest Home, for the care, comfort and compassion they provided for our mother, Peg.
