Peg Daley, a Worcester native and long time resident of Long Beach, passed away Thursday Sept. 25, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Robert S. and Lois B. (Vogt) Daley. Peg attended the old North High and Graduated from UMASS Boston with a BA in English. She started her sales career with Daley, Inc., IBM and followed by Delta Lithograph in CA.

Peg loved the Fine Arts and became a docent for the J. Paul Getty Museum and local museums. Two other loves were reading and “power-walking” along the beaches.

Peg was a cancer survivor. She was challenged each day, leading into decades of braving constant heartache and unrelenting pain and complications. Exhausted by the effects primarily from radiation and chemo, Peg never lost her wit, intellectual air or her self confidence.

Peg will will always be remembered by an oil painting by her sister Judith, an artist, whom Peg was so proud of. Peg requested that Judy paint “Two Roses-Two Sisters-Together Forever”. This painting hung for years over Peg’s fireplace. Now it will return to the home of her sister Judy, where the two sisters will be reunited, until they meet again.

Peg is survived by her sisters Judith Morris-Fugere, Katherine Barnett, and her brother William Daley. She is pre-deceased by a sister Barbara Daley, and brothers John Daley and Thomas Daley.

Peg is returning home to be laid to rest at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
